Private Credit Professional

Marathon Asset Management is a global credit manager with over $24 billion in assets under management.  Our Capital Solutions platform specializes in designing bespoke private credit transactions to high-quality companies in transition and seeks to invest $50 million to $250 million per transaction. We provide partnership capital to sponsors and management teams primarily in the form of senior secured unitranche loans, junior lien debt, mezzanine debt, convertible bonds and preferred equity. Our team has a demonstrated track record of providing fast, flexible and creative financing solutions to help companies address near-term needs and position for long-term growth.  The individual will be an integral part of the Opportunistic Corporate Credit investment team in London, focused on the Capital Solutions strategy. Primary area of focus will be helping to manage all aspects of our private credit origination and underwriting effort.

• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with financial sponsors and advisors to identify and source deal flow
• Manage pipeline of new deals
• Be involved in all stages of deal life-cycle from origination to underwriting and execution
• Develop strong working relationships with all members of the investment team and other groups within Marathon

• Required edcuation: BA or BSc degree
• Required experience:  5+ years of originations/deal experience within a private credit fund.  Alternatively, capital markets/sponsor coverage experience at a restructuring firm, leveraged finance or investment banking division
• Strong network of relationships with private equity sponsors and corporates, plus good oral and written communication skills
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Highly motivated, disciplined, responsible personality with attention to detail, high energy level and strong work ethic
