Overview

Marathon is seeking a highly motivated professional to join our team based in New York. This individual will be responsible for integrating, analyzing, and managing investment data and reporting for the Client Solutions Group, collaborating across the firm. The ideal candidate will be a data analytics specialist with a strong data analytics skillset with proficiencies in excel, coding and data integration to support Marathon’s leading global credit investment programs.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust data integration and ETL processes to streamline production of fundraising, marketing, and due diligence materials.
  • Collaborate with portfolio, risk, and technology teams to standardize and automate investment information exchange across departments.
  • Analyze and report on quantitative and qualitative investment data, including fund performance and portfolio metrics, using advanced analytics and visualization tools.
  • Prepare and enhance data-driven marketing materials, performance commentaries, and responses to investor RFPs, RFIs, and DDQs.
  • Support senior professionals on strategic projects, market research, and continuous improvement of data management practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field with a strong academic record.
  • 2–5 years of experience in investment data analytics, data integration, or a technology/analytics function within investment management, investment banking, investor relations, or financial data services provider.
  • Demonstrated expertise in automating and optimizing data workflows and ETL processes in a financial services environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex data into actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and management required
  • Proficiency in coding languages for data analysis and automation (e.g. Python, R, VBA) highly recommended.
  • Experience with Tableau or Power BI highly recommended. 

 

3The salary range for this role is $100,000-$130,000 in base pay (exclusive of bonus or benefits above and beyond the base pay). Base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, location, skills, training, certifications, and education, and in addition we will also consider internal equity and market data. We do not anticipate that candidates hired will begin at the top of the range however, from time to time, it may occur on a case by case basis.
